Jason Rodriguez explains his killing spree to reporters: "They left me to rot!"
A gunman killed one and injured five, police said, in a shooting Friday at the Orlando offices of an engineering firm where the suspect was let go more than two years ago.Because he was laid off two years ago, he returns to his office complex and starts shooting.
The shooting set off an intense manhunt Friday afternoon until the alleged gunman, Jason Rodriguez, 40, was arrested without incident at his mother's Florida apartment building, police said.
He has been charged with first-degree murder.
Asked by a reporter outside the police station why he did it, Rodriguez said: "Because they left me to rot," The Associated Press reported. [emboldenings mine -ed.]
Did this fool really expect a lifetime of employment? After having had poor performance evaluations, should his employer keep paying him for subnormal work? Is this man, like many people living today, clueless as to who provides jobs and why?
I'll bet this guy is a Leftist. Expectations of undeservedly getting Other People's Money; having no personal sense of responsibility; the entitlement mentality. Just give me what I don't deserve because, you know, I deserve it!

No man is entitled to Employment or Other People's Money or a Wife or any other thing. Earn your keep, don't expect handouts.
