Brand new Massive Attack official music video for "Atlas Air". Directed by Edouard Salier, the video for Massive Attack's Atlas Air is a CGI feast that explores the subject of rendition flights. It's a prequel to the headtrip of "Splitting the Atom". Their new album is called "Heligoland."This next video, released by Wikileaks last April, explains the depicted Apache gunship engagement as follows...
Wikileaks has obtained and decrypted this previously unreleased video footage from a US Apache helicopter in 2007. It shows Reuters journalist Namir Noor-Eldeen, driver Saeed Chmagh, and several others as the Apache shoots and kills them in a public square in Eastern Baghdad. They are apparently assumed to be insurgents. After the initial shooting, an unarmed group of adults and children in a minivan arrives on the scene and attempts to transport the wounded. They are fired upon as well. The official statement on this incident initially listed all adults as insurgents and claimed the US military did not know how the deaths ocurred. Wikileaks released this video with transcripts and a package of supporting documents on April 5th 2010 on http://collateralmurder.comCertainly a shame when civilians get wasted, but we
Over the years, many people have told us that WTSHTF, they are coming to our place in the country. When people say things like this, we hear, "...so that you can take care of me." This document is presented as a source of information for those who might need a realignment of their expectations, a clarification of ours or both. It should serve as a harsh wake up call for anyone who plans to flee to someone else's survival retreat should the need arise.Presented as a public service. You're welcome.
If you have neglected, failed or refused to complete your plans for survival, here are things you need to know, should you decide to depend on someone who has been more diligent.
Did the Children of Israel expect Moses to provide all of these things for them? Nope! He started walking and they had to keep up. Everyone carried what they needed and everyone did everything they needed to do to survive.
- No One Will Provide You With Shelter
- No One Will Feed You
- No One Will Provide Drinking Water
- No One Will Protect You
- No One Will Provide Medical Attention
Let's take a look at what your life might be like WTSHTF.
For any number of reasons, you lose electricity without notice and your water stops running. (Public water supplies need electricity) When people eventually realize the outage extends beyond their immediate circle of travel, they will panic and stores will be looted. Stores cannot be protected because...the police departments have no electricity. Gas stations will be closed when they cannot deliver fuel because...they have no electricity. It's funny how that works, isn't it? As more people begin to panic they will assemble into angry mobs armed with guns, knives, baseball bats and sticks. No police presence means no protection for you or anyone else. The police have raced home to protect their families.
You are now officially unemployed with no benefits, you cannot withdraw your worthless money from the bank, you cannot make a phone call, listen to the radio or watch television. Your stove, microwave oven, refrigerator and Internet connection are no longer working. You cannot run to Wal-Mart's camping section to pick up a sleeping bag or kerosene lantern. Your car has less than a half tank of gasoline and your terrified wife and children are begging you to do something.
A horde of lawless desperadoes is making its way down your street, hurling rocks and bricks through windows, setting cars on fire and breaking into homes in search of food and supplies. Through sheer numbers and merciless force, they overwhelm every feeble attempt at defense or escape, leaving death and destruction in their path. Like killer bees, they swarm your home and discover that it is vacant because you somehow managed to escape, either through a miracle, proper planning or dumb luck. They ravage what was once your comfortable home sweet home, laying waste years of financial sacrifice and hard work as you are driving or hiking or crawling down the highway or back roads to The Promise Land, your friend's place in the country.
For the sake of this frightening glimpse into your new reality, let's assume that you and your family somehow beat the one in a million odds and successfully escape the chaos and anarchy in the city. Exhausted and emotionally paralyzed with fear and anxiety, you eventually make your way to an overgrown pasture bordered by woods, provided that you were not attacked and killed on your journey or shot as an intruder when you arrive, which is always an unfortunate possibility.
So, in summary:
- There is no comfortable shelter waiting for you
- There is no water
- There is no food
- There is no security, no protection at all
- The mobs will eventually make their way out into the countryside and find you

On Election Day 2008, Maruse Heath, the leader of Philadelphia's New Black Panther Party, stood in front of a neighborhood polling place, dressed in a paramilitary uniform.Just in time.
Within hours, an amateur video showing Heath, slapping a black nightstick and exchanging words with the videographer, had aired on TV and ricocheted across the nation.
Among those who saw the footage was J. Christian Adams, who was in his office in the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division in Washington.
"I thought, 'This is wrong, this is not supposed to happen in this country," Adams said. "There are armed men in front of a polling place, and I need to find out if they violated the law, because in my mind there's a good chance that they did."
The actions of the black nationalist and the white lawyer have mushroomed into a fierce debate over the government's enforcement of civil rights laws - a dispute that will be aired next week when the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights unveils findings from a year-long investigation.
...
The [Obama - Holder DOJ's] dismissal triggered outrage from conservatives and congressional Republicans, two internal Justice Department inquiries and the investigation by the conservative-controlled civil rights commission. The debate has thrust Eric H. Holder Jr., the nation's first African American attorney general and long the target of Republican attacks, into an unwelcome spotlight.

The giant union of government workers, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees is promising to spend a record $66 million this year on get-out-the-vote efforts, voter education and political advertisements. That includes $16 million that the union recently took out of an emergency fund, and it comes on top of $21 million it spent last year, mainly on state and local races. The union says it has spent $17 million on broadcast advertisements so far this year. One thing you can be sure of, bank your unemployment check on, you Union members: Democrats ALWAYS want more Government. Businesses who pay your bloated salaries don't like Democrats, and won't hire when Democrats are in control. How's that Democrat plan working out for you, Union out-of-worker ?
Reflecting a growing dispute between unions and the Chamber of Commerce, the public employees’ union is arguing that its campaign spending this year is less than the Chamber’s $75 million, even though the union has spent $87 million over the two-year election cycle.

Mike Appelstein: In the now-infamous videotape, you indicated that you're furious about the way we're being led toward socialism and "incredible waste of money" being spent. Could you elaborate a bit on these sentiments?A Good Woman, my Marueen! of the day.
Moe Tucker: No country can provide all things for all citizens. There comes a point where it just isn't possible, and it's proven to be a failure everywhere it's been tried. I am not oblivious to the plight of the poor, but I don't see any reason/sense to the idea that everyone has to have everything, especially when the economy is so bad. I see that philosophy as merely a ploy to control.
My family was damn poor when I was growing up on Long Island. There were no food stamps, no Medicaid, no welfare. If you were poor, you were poor. You didn't have a TV, you didn't have five pairs of shoes, you didn't have Levi's, you didn't have a phone; you ate Spam, hot dogs and spaghetti. We all survived! I am not against food stamps, welfare or Medicaid, if only they would oversee these programs properly!
I am also against the government taking over the student loan program, car companies, bailouts and the White House taking control of the census (what the hell is that all about?); [about] any First Lady telling (I know, I know, "suggesting to") us what to eat, the mayor of New York City declaring "no salt" (screw you, pal!), the mayor/city commissioners of Anytown, U.S.A. declaring you can't fly a flag, can't say the Pledge of Allegiance and can't sing the National Anthem. I'm against a President dismissing any and all who dare to disagree; the water being turned off in (central) California, at [an] area where they've turned off the water because they want to save a one-inch fish -- turning that huge area of farming land into another dustbowl -- the insipid start of food supply control methinks! The government deciding what kind of lightbulbs we can use (all you "think green" people, three objections to this b.s.: 1) Those bulbs give off the light of a candle; 2) They're very expensive; 3) They have mercury in them - how the hell are we supposed to dispose of them?).
I am against the government now thinking about bailing out unions. The unions made the contracts which include insane pensions; the U.S. government didn't. I'm against the government closing down offshore drilling in the Gulf with one hand and with the other giving (lending?) Brazil money to help them do way deeper offshore drilling -- rather curious. I'm against a government that will not defend our borders; and on and on and on.
As a lead-in to the next part of your question: Today it was announced that there would be no cost of living increase for Social Security recipients because "there's no inflation." I'd love to know what makes them think that! Where the hell do they shop? Prices have been rising for over a year. Inflation is a natural happening, I know. But why is it that suddenly food prices don't go up two or three or five cents, but instead they're going up 40, 50, 60 cents at a clip? No inflation my ass!
My anger stems from the unbelievable (criminal!) waste of money on pork and earmarks. It drives me nuts to see that X millions are being allocated to build a turtle tunnel, a donkey museum, a salamander crossing, etc, etc, etc. Billions spent every friggin' year on totally unnecessary crap so that these Congressbums can tell their constituents that they "brought home the bacon" and get re-elected. I'm sorry, but I don't want to pay for any Congress SOB's vote buying, and sure as hell not in these very very worrisome times!
What specifically about the current administration do you disagree with?
I disagree with spending / borrowing / printing -- damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead! I disagree with the "we won" attitude, which is the cowardly way of saying fuck you! I disagree with an administration that for twenty months blames Bush. If the President and his minions are so damn smart, why didn't they know the severity of the situation? The president has actually said (and I saw it on video) that they didn't know!
What would you like to see change?
The current administration!
Democrats’ Grip on the South Continues to Slip
JONESBORO, Ark. — The Southern white Democrat, long on the endangered list, is at risk of being pushed one step closer to extinction.
From Virginia to Florida and South Carolina to Texas, nearly two dozen Democratic seats are susceptible to a potential Republican surge in Congressional races on Election Day, leaving the party facing a situation where its only safe presence in the South is in urban and predominantly black districts.
[emboldenings mine -ed.]That's a clear indicator that LOOTER - MOOCHER politics is alive and well. The new Social Democrat's tactic of buying votes with Other People's Money is a well-established feature of their party; it's only still working well in a culture of mostly good people, the South, in areas where there's no pride in self, in the Democrat's carefully cultivated 'Cultures of Poverty'. They now reap their grim gardens for votes.
Former President Bill Clinton, who spent his career navigating between his party’s liberal sensibilities and the far more centrist instincts of Democrats in his home region, visited the district last week, passing through Batesville and Paragould before arriving for a rally in Jonesboro. He warned voters, “You are being played,” and urged people to cast ballots with their economic self interest in mind. All but the most dense of Democrats can see exactly what's happening here: the consummate LOOTER playing to his MOOCHER base. "You are being played", indeed; Democrats who vote for this sort of pandering are easily plyed, susceptible to handouts and gimmee! tactics.
“If it’s a referendum on Democrats against some imagined perfection, we’ll get whacked,” Mr. Clinton said in a brief interview. “If it’s a real, informed choice, we’ll do fine.”By 'real, informed choice' he means that if Democrats can convince people to put their own self-interest ahead of interest in the Republic's survival, they will continue to win. But good people realize that we didn't get here by giving away the contents of the Treasury to the lowest level of politician who then disburses it to ply the lowest level of voter. Now, this minute, we're printing monies we don't even own, borrowing from the Chinese, Japanese and Saudis to fund impossible-to-sustain entitlements promised to Democrat voters for their continued allegiance to the National Party.
“I wouldn’t have voted for the cap-and-trade bill, and I couldn’t have supported the health care bill,” Mr. Causey said. “The Constitution doesn’t say anything about Democrats and Republicans. It talks about representing constituents, regardless of who’s in control in Washington, and carry their voice. That’s what I’m going to do.”Chad Causey, like other Democrats across the nation, is running helter-skelter from the specter of National Party and Nancy Pelosi and TARP and ObamaCare, and Bill Clinton standing right there thumbs-up and grinning.

Kim "The Beast" Jong-un |
"A carnivore never stops. Show no mercy. Never stop. Mercy is a chimera. It can be defeated by the stomach rumbling it's hunger, by the throat crying it's thirst."The Beast. A muscle-minded tank-brain, sent in to squeeze the population, and finally make way for Feyd-Rautha, the compassionate one, the 'pretty boy', as savior.
It is like the story of a one-time crown prince called Yangnyeong at the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty. The eldest son who was initially deemed the next in throne loses his status to his younger brother after falling out of his father’s favor for misbehavior. The defamed, womanizing son goes into exile. If any parallels exist between Dune and North Korea, best would be the eventual defeat of House Jong-il. Because Kim Jong-il has squeezed North Korea for decades, has oppressed the population to the point of starvation. A better successor might have been Jong-nam, who escaped to Japan and knew that bright lights at night were attractive. This young son, Jong-un, seems much like his father.
Only this time, in North Korea, the brothers’ country faces an opaque future.
Because he is the eldest, Jong-nam, born in 1971, was often considered the most likely son to succeed North Korean leader Kim Jong-il. That was until 2001 when he got caught trying to enter Japan on a fake Dominican passport bearing the name Pang Xiong which means “Fat Bear” in Chinese. He told the police that he wanted to go to Tokyo Disneyland, which greatly enraged his father. After several days of detention, Jong-nam was deported to China, making Kim Jong-il cancel a scheduled trip to China out of embarrassment to both countries.
Prior to the globally publicized 2001 incident, Jong-nam had reportedly made several secret visits to Japan, starting as early as 1995.
Several years after the eldest son’s fallout, speculation rose over whether the throne would go to second son Jong-chol, as it usually did during the Joseon Dynasty.
Unlike his elder brother who was tutored and educated in North Korea’s elite school, Jong-chol, born in 1981 to a different mother, was educated in Switzerland for five years until 1998.
It was only early last year that the outside world learned that the “Dear Leader” finally decided to pass on his legacy to the third and youngest son Jong-un, born in 1984.

TAPPER: So the chamber says no foreign money is paying for any of their political activities. If Jake keeps this up, he'll not be invited to another White House Press Appreciation Party.
AXELROD: And I guess my answer to the Chamber is just disclose where your money is coming from and that will end all the questions. The fact is they are spending $75 million in this campaign and they will not disclose where one dime is coming from. And that's the problem with all of these organizations. We have tens of millions of special interest money coming into these campaigns and no record of where its coming from and that should be a concern to every voter in this country.
TAPPER: Their answer would be why should they disclose. No one's disclosing.
AXELROD: Right and they have a point there. We tried to pass a law in the Congress -- every Democrat in the Senate voted for it, every Republican in the Senate voted against it -- that said everyone has to disclose. That all these organizations would have to disclose where their money is coming from whether they are supporting Democratic candidates or Republican candidates. The Republicans blocked that bill and the question to them and their allies is: what are they hiding that they don’t want the American people to see?
TAPPER: But you're asking the Chamber to prove a negative. “Prove that you’re not doing such and such accusation.”
AXELROD: It’s not proving a negative, Jake, because all you have to do to clear up the questions is reveal who your donors are from. The question back to them is why don’t they want to reveal where their money is coming from? I think the answer is, I think if the American people knew where their money was coming from they’d be a lot less apt to listen to the advertising, to read the mail, to respond to the kind of negative campaigns that the Chamber and some of these other organizations are underwriting.
...
TAPPER: But what do you say to people who argue you are demonizing an organization for a charge that nobody knows if it's true or not?
AXELROD: Well I’m not demonizing the Chamber of Commerce. I’m simply suggesting to them that they disclose the source of the $75 million that they are spending in campaigns and put to rest, put to rest the questions that have been, that have been raised.
TAPPER: Isn't that like the whackjobs that tell the president he needs to show them his full long-form birth certificate so he can put to rest the questions that have been raised?AXELROD: The president’s birth certificate has been available to people.TAPPER: The long form?
AXELROD: Someone once in the course of this debate about whether we should have a law to force these organizations to disclose where they’re money is coming from in the campaigns, someone said, and I think they’re right – “the only people who want to keep things secret are folks who have something to hide.” If the Chamber doesn’t have anything to hide about these contributions, and I take them at their word that they don’t, then why not disclose? Why not let people see where their money is coming from?
Typical hatred-filled responses from New Yorkers I see. Your city was attacked by whom again? Can you even remember? Do you care?If that comment is published, it'll be the only one supportive of Pamela Geller on the page.
Let's have a compromise. You 'haters' try to persuade the world's Muslims to allow a Cathedral and a Synagogue to be built in Mecca and Medina. After that conversation, if you dare to have it, I'll gladly turn a jaundiced eye toward Robert Spencer and Ms. Geller. Until then, you've no right to throw slurs and verbally stone a woman for taking a strong position in what she truly believes.
An Observer investigation has established that the EDL has made contact with anti-jihad groups within the Tea Party organisation and has invited a senior US rabbi and Tea Party activist to London this month. Rabbi Nachum Shifren, a regular speaker at Tea Party conventions, will speak about Sharia law and also discuss funding issues.Seems there are lines being drawn; two 'major' news organizations on two continents working together, attacking a common 'enemy' on the same day.
The league has also developed links with Pamela Geller, who was influential in the protests against plans to build an Islamic cultural centre near Ground Zero. Geller, darling of the Tea Party's growing anti-Islamic wing, is advocating an alliance with the EDL. The executive director of the Stop Islamisation of America organisation, she recently met EDL leaders in New York and has defended the group's actions, despite a recent violent march in Bradford.
Geller, who denies being anti-Muslim, said in one of her blogs: "I share the EDL's goals… We need to encourage rational, reasonable groups that oppose the Islamisation of the west."
Devin Burghart, vice-president of the Kansas-based Institute for Research & Education on Human Rights, said: "Geller is acting as the bridge between the EDL and the Tea Party. She plays an important role in bringing Islamophobia into the Tea Party. Her stature has increased substantially inside the Tea Party ranks after the Ground Zero mosque controversy. She has gained a lot of credibility with that stuff."

Republicans are on the brink of pulling off a landslide "of potentially epic proportions" that would bring them control of both Houses of Congress and a majority of governorships, Democratic pollster and Fox News commentator Douglas Schoen says.Never before has a party so deserved to get stomped at the polls as this current far-left bunch of sorry Democrats.
In an exclusive Newsmax interview, Schoen says he now sees several indications that matters are going from bad to worse for Democrats in this election cycle.
He points to a RealClearPolitics.com analysis that now shows Republicans picking up a net gain of nine seats in the Senate, which would deadlock the upper chamber 50 to 50. And polls show several other GOP candidates, including Carly Fiorina in California and Dino Rossi in Washington state, remain within striking distance, he says.
Schoen, a pollster for former President Bill Clinton, is co-author of the new book "Mad as Hell: How the Tea Party Movement is Fundamentally Remaking Our Two-Party System."
"We're moving in the direction of the Republicans potentially picking up 10 or 11 seats," Schoen says. "More likely it will be nine to 10, which is enough to either deadlock the Senate or give them control.
"You tie that in with a House that most people, myself included, concede is going to be 45 to 50 seats at the very least, if not more, and a generic vote that is now plus 7 or 8 percent for Republicans, combined with the Gallup turnout model predicting anywhere from 13 to 18 percent for the Republicans, you're looking at the potential for the Republicans to win both houses of Congress and holding 30 or more governors' seats. We're looking at a landslide of potentially epic proportions," Schoen says.
Blacklisted from academia and barred from publishing in China, Mr. Liu has been harassed and detained repeatedly since 1989, when he stepped into the drama playing out on Tiananmen Square by staging a hunger strike and then negotiating the peaceful retreat of student demonstrators as thousands of soldiers stood by with rifles at the ready. He was in prison last year, when you gave this prize to Obama, you Nobel Nincompoops.
“If not for the work of Liu and the others to broker a peaceful withdrawal from the square, Tiananmen Square would have been a field of blood on June 4,” said Gao Yu, a veteran journalist who was arrested in the hours before the tanks began moving through the city.
His most recent arrest in December of 2008 came a day before a reformist manifesto he helped craft began circulating on the Internet. The petition, entitled Charter ‘08, demanded that China’s rulers embrace human rights, judicial independence and the kind of political reform that would ultimately end the Communist Party’s monopoly on power.
“For all these years, Liu Xiaobo has persevered in telling the truth about China and because of this, for the fourth time, he has lost his personal freedom,” his wife, Liu Xia, said earlier this week.
Given his detention, it is unclear how Mr. Liu would take possession of the prize, which includes a gold medal, a diploma and the equivalent of $1.46 million.
"Liu Xiaobo is a criminal who has been sentenced by Chinese judicial departments for violating Chinese law," the foreign ministry said in a statement."...blasphemy to the peace prize" ? Where were you last year?
Awarding the peace prize to Liu "runs completely counter to the principle of the prize and is also a blasphemy to the peace prize", the statement said.
Synopsis: Every age seeks visionaries to leave, in the wake of their genius, a changed world - but rarely are they found without a few strikeout also-rans getting a crack first. In 2008, millions of Americans thought they had found the real thing.
Over the subsequent two years the nation moved inexorably - though rarely without battle - toward European-style socialism. Through the warring perspectives of a few powerful, deluded men and women who claim to know what's best for you resulted a national drama rife with both bureaucracy creation and wealth destruction.
The Socialist moved from the halls of academia to the offices of ACORN to a pew in Chicago, and eventually all the way to the oval office, all the while spurred on by the heady early days of a culture-changing phenomenon in the making. In the midst of the chaos and mounting disasters, average American citizens began to object, eventually adding up to more than the sum of their parts in what has become a multifront, 21st century clash of worldviews.
This film has not yet been rated, but the story received a solid B+ from the White House. Catch the beginning of the end in theaters November 2010, with the ultimate conclusion to be seen worldwide in November of 2012.
