Gas Prices Skyrocketing. Who was that courageous Politician who loudly proclaimed "Drill, baby drill!" ? Because we certainly needed one like that, instead of the failshit buffoon we have in office now.

  1. It was.... oh, heck, i can't remember...

...Palin! Sarah Palin. Her star has dimmed somewhat, ever since you guys decided that you preferred Chris Christie's tits over hers.

Hmmm. I should probably mention that even if there was no moratorium, any new oil supplies in the Gulf would not hit the world market for 10-15 years. In the meantime, i'm sure that Sarah and her AMAZING grasp of mideast politics would have totally prevented anything going wrong in Libya.

I'm making fun of you, of course, but my laughter subsides when i realize that there's a chance you actually BELIEVE that.

  2. Drilling in the US would supply less than 1% of our needs and it would take 10 years to get it.

Gas prices are low. They are $6+ a gal. in most of Europe. We need a rail system to replace more trucking.

I burn premium in my boat. 60 gals to fill up, 25 to fill up the truck to pull it. V-8s in both. It's worth it, I'll pay it occasionally. I commute to work on a cycle and drive a civic the rest of the time. Others should similarly drive economically. The non hybrid Fiesta and Elantra get 40mpg, we're seeing more and better electric cars, and hybrids have been around for a decade.

    Adjust.

  3. We are much larger than the entire European theater. You don't live in Texas. You can't bicycle your foodstuffs in from your suppliers...how far are you from the nearest orange tree? You exhibit self-thinking on a very small scale; ramp up to envision the entire United States (or at least past the confines of Tennessee).

A big nation requires a large energy supply. The only large energy resources we have are petro, hydro, nuclear and coal. You don't like any of 'em. The last new nuclear plant in the nation, Watts Barr, came online in 1996; the construction permit was issued in 1973. We should be pushing a hundred of them right now. But what is our bumblefuck in chief doing?

Absolutely nothing, because he wants us limited to lower standards.

  4. Oh! I didn't see Childe Gaga's comment earlier. Now what is it babbling on about? Someone give it a pacifier. There's extra ones in San Francisco, I've heard.

Know this: Sarah Palin has a bigger set of balls than ANY lefty Senator or President we've had in the last 30 years. She might not have done any differently RE: the mideast (except perhaps helping Israel pave over Iran) but with the addition of a 'stronger' USA, all the political dynamics involved would be effected, probably more in 'our' favor.

She'll likely not be the nominee for 2012, but she'll definitely play a role in it, to help flush out and keep a RINO like McCain out of the running.
