Life Always is focusing on this statistic from the NYC Health Department: Blacks had the highest number of abortions in 2009, with 40,798. (Hispanics had the second highest at 28,364.) NYC's abortion rate was almost 40% that year, and the three Planned Parenthood facilities nearest the billboard reported nearly 17,000 abortions in 2010. Asked for his reaction to the billboard yesterday, one man on the street told WCBS, "I think they’re trying to send a message to us African-Americans because we do do a lot of abortions and I think we shouldn’t be doing it."It's genocide, really.

1) By law, Planned Parenthood cannot allocate any federal funding for abortions.
ReplyDelete2) Abortion services make up only 2.5% of what PP does. contraception constituted 35% of total services, STD testing and treatment constituted 34%, cancer testing and screening constituted 17%; other women's health procedures, including pregnancy, prenatal, midlife, and infertility were 10%.
3) These "abortion on demand" comment presumes these proceedures are done capriciously and without careful consideration, and assumes that is the primary reason PP exists.
Studies show tat in countries where family planning clinics and abortion is legal, there is LESS abortion. Perhaps we should do it the Bristol Palin way and tell teens to abstain? Teens who take "virginity pledges" are 6 times more likely to engage in anal and oral sex than those that did not pledge. Maybe that is the Republican version of sex ed?

Repubicans are all for personal freedom... except for a woman's very personal choice. 99% of these 'fetus fetish Republicans' make their case via a religious argument, which is bogus... America is not a theocracy. if you'd like to live in a nation ruled by religious law, as many Republicans seem to want, I suggest moving to a country that IS ruled by religious law... like the Vatican, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc...
We are spending $300 A DAY, EVERY DAY for war, and the GOP wants to cut Planned Parenthood, and NPR?
They have moved into the mental hospital.
If Planned Parenthood would simply stick to the less murderous services, then they would be welcome to all. As is, they do provide what is considered pre-born baby murder by a great number of citizens; for that, they draw fire. Well and good, they deserve the attacks.
ReplyDeleteFor NPR's and Planned Parenthood's reliance on and support for the Democrats, of course we oppose them, because Democrats are responsible for the destruction of this Republic, morally and fiscally. You expect any less? Flush 'em both AFAIC.
If you lefties love your NPR, fund it totally out of you own back pockest, have arugula drives; but not a dime of taxpayer's monies need go to them. If you want to abort your own kids, that's sad for the kid; but just don't expect a thin red cent from any government agency or taxpayer, AND expect to hear from people who have some morality left in their not-fully-rotted-and-LeftLibProg heads.
This is the way Republicans make their point. By driving semi trucks with photos of late term aborted fetuses around to college campuses.
ReplyDeleteWhat they don't tell you is that what you are seeing in these photos are late term abortions that account for only 1% of all abortions performed.
Can you see how this is 99% disingenuous?
If PP performed every abortion in America, late term abortions would account for .025% (.00025) of what Planned Parenthood does.
Can you see how this PP attack is 99.975% disingenuous?
This is how people are misled and why it becomes an asinine emotional argument with religion on one side (which is fueled almost totally by emotion) and rational thought, human rights to privacy and choice on the other. We can see what side you're on. The emotional religious irrational side. Thank you for showing us that.
I thought the GOP was supposed to be creating jobs and tackling the deficit? What the hell are they doing instead?? fucking around with NPR and PP.
Nice.
I though lefists were supposed to be for first amendment rights? Here you are complaining about 'bussed ads', when the most heinous protests on the planet win the day 8-1 at the Supreme Court.
ReplyDeleteShould've been 9-0. "I don't agree with a word you say, but I'll fight to the death for your right to say it."
Get on the right side of the first amendment, or you don't deserve any of the others.
Speaking of.... What if Westboro Baptists were the Westboro Muslims? Do you think the conservatives on the Supreme Court would have voted to protect their free speech? I doubt it, they'd be jailed as terrorists. You know it.
ReplyDeleteIf a Muslim group were acting like the Westboro Baptists, would you be saying: "I don't agree with a word you say, but I'll fight to the death for your right to say it." ????
Surely you're not trying to compare Muslims and Christians? How many suicide Christian bombers you know of? How many Christians flew planes into the WTC, or any building for that matter, whilst screaming JESUS IS LOVE! ?
ReplyDeleteNo, you're not comparing apples and oranges; you're comparing grapes and marbles.
Now pick your missing marbles up off the floor, and think about what you wrote, but this time with more precision.
For yur education, a partial history of atrocities and genocide committed by Christians.
ReplyDeleteAncient history. More people have died at the hands of leftists than any other group: Communists, Marxists, the National Socialist Party, Pol Pot &c.
