Must-see video: Bill Whittle's latest, "Walking into Mordor".

Bill Whittle carefully and precisely leads us from the '20's Institute of Marxism in Frankfort University to the modern glitter of Hollywood, and speaks of Hollywood's change from writing classic tales of good vs. evil, good stories, to what we're witnessing today, stories crafted by "bored, guilt-ridden self-loathing elitists" who've used the power of film media to slime our culture and have help create a nation of dirty socialists who vote for dicks.

Oikophobia -- fear and hatred of one's own culture and people. It has brought down civilizations since there have been civilizations. And now we're infected, too.

Find out how the negativity and self-loathing of modern Hollywood is just a small gear in the machine that brings down entire nations. What can we do about it? Well, we can walk right into the heart of Mordor and destroy the Ring of Power.

Once upon a time, Hollywood made quality product. Bill Whittle, on the '56 SF classic Forbidden Planet, gives us insight into modern Social Democrat's desires to be lead by intellectual elites who have giant brains but absolutely no wisdom...

Now, what can we take from that – aside from a first rate, sci-fi mystery – adventure? Well, Forbidden Planet really is nothing less than a warning against the terrible dangers of intellectual elitism. Morbius is far more intelligent than Captain Adams, but Adams – a man of action – is wise enough to see what Morbius for all his intellect cannot see: that all of the intelligence in the world cannot make up for the inherent defect in human character; that all people, no matter how smart, are ultimately driven by base and selfish desires, and that the reason no one can handle the unlimited power of the Krell technology on the Forbidden Planet is not because no one is smart enough to master it. It is because no one is good enough to master it.

Our intellectual elites do not ever seem to get this message. Like Morbius, they believe that given enough power, they would use it to remake the world into a better place for all people – unaware of the blind spot in their own subconscious. Men are not Gods, and that is why the greater the power, the more it should be dispersed. That is the rare wisdom of our Founding Fathers, of men like George Washington, who, like Morbius was offered kingship of the new world, but who, rather, as a man of action like Adams, was wise enough to see it is a trap.

Giant brains? Really? Without wisdom, a 'giant brain' and a Harvard Law School presidency means absolutely nothing, and having such is proving to be of little use or value to a certain... dick.

Lighten up for Friday! Here, Frank Zappa speaks of Hollywood...

  1. I don't normally watch your vids, but i am a keen movie fan.

Dude. That is some of the whiniest, self-pitying, egotistical tripe i've ever seen. Do conservatives ever, for even a second, realize the chutzpah of railing against the "culture of victimization" while claiming that THEY are the perpetual victims of a culture that somehow refuses to cater to their every whim, including... gasp.... artists who don't agree with their notion of a perfect America?

The Tea party is the army of Gondor? Yeah, and my brother and i are the fucking Justice League. Please.

And then of course, there is the sheer weirdness of this whining weasel claiming that Hollywood no longer makes old-fashioned tales of good vs. evil while playing LOTR in the background. You know, one of the most successful film trilogies of the last decade, an old-fashioned tale of good vs. evil with all-white heroes.

Oh, but some independent filmmakers make movies that aren't like that! Some asian director made Brokeback Mountain and it made me feel icky! Hollywood is bad!

Spiderman swings into action in front of a giant star-spangled banner. Michael Bay's Transformers movies are chest-thumping military porn. Harry Potter is a brave english chap who fights Voldemort, a magical terrorist whose actions in the latter books are reminiscent of Osama bin Laden. Captain America, the Green Lantern, and the blonde-and-blue-eyed Thor battle the alien outsiders. The kids from Narnia swear by a Christ-Lion, battle the feminazi White Witch, and then the swarthy Spanish Telmarine invaders.

The Dark Knight battles the terrorist Joker. The western warriors of 300 battle the debauched Persians. Iron Man is a capitalist superhero who uses technology to fight Islamic terrorists, a Russian madman, and a mediocre competitor who wants the government to seize his intellectual property. The new Star Trek movie goes back into the past to the first Enterprise -- paying homage to the Apollo missions -- and it stars Kirk, an all-American hero if there ever was one. Quentin Tarantino's last movie was about macho (Jewish) GI's gleefully assassinating Hitler, while dealing with the villainous Hans Landa -- a dapper, wine-sipping multilingual european ponce with no loyalty to his homeland.

Do i need to go on?

What movies is this whining wimp going to see? Certainly not the popular blockbusters at the multiplex that i go see -- he must be hanging out at some art house cinema, watching little independent films about gay drugs addicts.

Seriously, my god, if you don't see the moronic, wrongheaded, deceitful, shit-eating propaganda that this mealymouthed huckster is trying to sell you, you are clearly insane.

  2. Bill Whitte is a bullshit fountain.
It is amazing that people are so intellectually depraved and gullible to believe anything this mental midget sensationalist bullshiter says. Of course, look at his audience. nuff said.

  3. Nice to see that Bill Whittle pronged your thoughts sharply enough, goaded you to put out just another spittle-flecked pooh-flinging-monkey-styled rant. Love it when you gag and choke.

Let's see...I'm not a big movie watcher, but there's a few biggies that rankle. Avatar was pure leftist drizzle, but with some decent animation. V for Vendetta was Marxist tripe; now, the 'Anonymous' punks use his face-mask as an avatar. Even funny and otherwise decent Wall-E portrayed Americans as trash.

I just watched a good movie at a theater (not that 'Transformers' garbage; grow up!) but Super 8, a surprisingly good Speilberg flick. I recommend that (even though American soldiers are portrayed as evil, wicked, mean and naasty, and the main character was a fat boy who didn't get the girl and may become gay as a result, the principle characters were independent-minded and anti-government sorts who overcame the odds to win). Oh, you're in there I think; the stoner guy who falls asleep and missed all the action.

So, quit yer whining about what you're learing and keep on learning. It's time you faced some harsh reality. TANSTAAFL, bitch.

    Grow up.

  4. Oh, there's consummate LeftLibProgg Dr. William of the Sour Notes, complaining that he's also been skewered by Bill Whittle.

Man, I like him even more now than I did. He'll become a regular feature on this here blog of mine, because he's right for one, and also because he causes such major indigestion in LeftLibProggs - who mostly deserve as much belly ache as can be given to them.
