Luckily I escaped the (small) city of Nashville yesterday. Flip a page, and you find Cadiz, Kentucky.
There were no 'war protests' in Cadiz over the weekend, on that I will bet a house payment. And no one burned the flag, or dragged soldier effigys around the town square. There were no big-city antics going on up here.
Too many flags were burned over the weekend. Enough, I say. I want the real thing, for a change, posted on this site.
This monster flag, placed by a Church (next to Wildcat Cheverolet, off I-65) was burning from Al Gore's nemesis...yes, that ultimate source of the planet's energy, the Sun. While AlGore was showing off his fool self in the hallowed halls of the Congress and Senate yesterday (can I pretend to be a scientist, too? Please? Please!) I positioned myself to get a few shots of this wind-whipped beauty.
So, forgettabout the noisome protests for half a second, and enjoy old Glory, warming..

And, Cadiz does have Curb appeal. ...

Information on Trigg County, Kentucky...here's the most important statistic I found:
2004 Presidential Election results in Trigg County Kentucky:
Bush/Cheney (Republican): 65.8%
Kerry/Edwards (Democratic): 33.5%
That's certainly a warming statistic...
Oh, before I forget. I found my next
Bumper Sticker...
